Man Shot To Death In Bolingbrook

Police said the same home was previously targeted in a shooting in October 2018.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A 23-year-old Bolingbrook man died hours after being shot in the 300 block of Ottawa Drive early Saturday, police said. Officers and paramedics responded to the scene at around 12:42 a.m. to find the victim, who had been shot multiple times, on the street in front of his home.

The man was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at 5:16 a.m.

Police said the shooting is under investigation and the name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.

Police called the fatal shooting a "targeted and isolated incident," saying officers have responded to the victim's Ottawa Street home numerous times. Last year, the home was targeted in another shooting in which four rounds were fired into the house during the early morning hours of Monday, Oct. 29. No one was injured in that incident.
