Man Shot In Leg During Bolingbrook Carjacking: Police

The two offenders fled in the victim's black Dodge Charger.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A 20-year-old man is in stable condition after he was shot in the leg during a carjacking in Bolingbrook on Saturday night, according to Bolingbrook Police.

Police said they responded to Andy's Custard, at 450 N. Bolingbrook Drive, at 11:47 p.m. for a report of shots fired. Officers found the victim with a gunshot wound to his leg, immediately administered medical aid and the victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

According to police, the victim was leaving work and walking to his vehicle. He was approached by two men wearing ski masks, who demanded his vehicle and keys. Shortly after, one of the offenders shot the victim in the leg.

The offenders then fled in the victim's vehicle, which is a black Dodge Charger. At this time, neither the vehicle nor the offenders have been located, police said.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation, according to police.
