Naperville Man Arrested After Cops Chase Him Through Airport Runway

A Naperville man is in custody and another is still on the loose after police chased two men who allegedly boosted liquor from a local store across the airport runway of .

According to police, officers responded to a call at the Meijer on 225 N. Weber Rd. for the report of two males who had just removed alcohol, fled the store and entered a car.

Police were able to locate that car shortly thereafter at a nearby mini-golf course. When police approached the men, the two fled on foot, alcohol in tow, and police engaged in a foot pursuit across the airport property and runway.

The second man, who is believed to also be from Naperville, escaped, said Bolingbrook Police Lt. Mike Rompa.
