New BHS Assistant Director Of Student Services Announced

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Valley View School District 365U Board of Education has approved the selection of Mrs. Amanda Wilmer to the position of Assistant Director of Student Services at Bolingbrook HS. She had previously been a Special Education Teacher at Jane Addams Middle School.

Mrs. Wilmer began her teaching career in 2003 at Jane Addams as a teacher for all subjects. For the past six years, Mrs. Wilmer had co-taught 6th grade math. In addition to her teaching duties, she has served as a mentor to new teachers at Jane Addams and a student council sponsor.

Mrs. Wilmer earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003, followed by a Master of the Arts Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Northern Illinois University in 2007. She earned a second Master of Arts degree in School Leadership from Concordia University in River Forest in 2019.
