Parolee Drove Car At Children, Pushed Girlfriend: Report

The former Bolingbrook resident had been on parole for almost exactly a year when he was arrested for reckless driving and domestic battery.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A former Bolingbrook man on parole for drugs and weapons convictions is back in custody after he was accused of grabbing and pushing his girlfriend, then driving his car at her three young daughters, according to reports. Esteban Rivera, 38, was paroled in April 2018 after serving time in the department of corrections for being a felon in possession of a weapon and manufacturing cocaine or a cocaine-like substance.

On June 14, he was booked into the Will County jail on charges of reckless driving and multiple counts of domestic battery stemming from incidents on April 7 and April 9, according to jail records.

A complaint accuses Rivera of pushing and grabbing his girlfriend, then driving a vehicle towards her daughters, ages 4, 6 and 10, the Herald-News reported.

Although an order of protection filed April 10 against Rivera lists his address as the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive, jail records list an address in the 1400 block of Pioneer Lane in Crest Hill.

According to court jail records, Rivera remains in custody on $20,000 bond. He is due in court July 1.
