Police Blotter: $3,000 in Jewelry Snatched from Bolingbrook Home

Tuesday, Oct. 25
1. Fight victim transported to hospital
Police were called to a business on the 500 block of North Pinecrest Road for the repot of a fight. One victim was taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital for their injuries at 1:29 a.m.

2. Aggravated DUI
Rafael Moreno, 29, of the 200 block of North Pinecrest Road, was charged with speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving on a suspended license, two counts of aggravated DUI, two counts of DUI and no insurance following a traffic stop on the 400 block of North Bolingbrook Drive at 12:05 a.m.

3. Resisting a peace officer
Ignacio Acosta, 23, of the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive, was charged with resisting a peace officer and an in-state warrant on Timber Court at 12:34 a.m.
4. Assault and disorderly conduct
Eric Jefferson, 19, of the 300 block of Sweetgum Drive, was charged with resisting a peace officer, assault and disorderly conduct, and John Frohn, 62, of the 1400 block of West Briarcliff Road, was charged with disorderly conduct on the 1400 block of Raven Drive at 5:37 p.m.
5. Warrant following domestic dispute
Vernett Fulce III, 37, of the 1000 block of Crestwood Drive, was charged with an in-state warrant following a call to the residence for a domestic dispute at 4:15 p.m.

6. Thief makes off with prescription pills
Police were called to the 500 block of Kildeer Drive for the report of a theft. A suspect took numerous prescription pills from unopened bottles on several occasions.
7. $3,000 in jewelry stolen
Police were called to the 500 block of White Oak Drive for the report of a residential burglary. A homeowner told police they returned to the residence at 1:49 p.m. and found a side garage door open. It was found that 12 gold rings, four gold chain necklaces and three bracelets were taken. Loss valued at $3,000.
8. DUI
Zaira Anaya, 24, of the 200 block of North President Avenue in Wheaton, was charged with improper lane usage, no valid driver’s license, DUI and no insurance following a traffic stop at the intersection of Route 53 and Lily Cache Lane at 1:33 a.m.
9. Radio stolen from car
A satellite radio was taken from an unlocked car parked on the 100 block of Cypress Drive between Oct. 24 and Oct. 25.
