Police Blotter: $6,000 Mink Coat Stolen from Home

1. Two Chicago women busted for retail theft

Princess Chinn, 21, of the 4500 block of South Drexel Avenue in Chicago, and Sharbriel Moore, 22, of the 5400 block of South Princeton Avenue, were both charged with retail theft and resisting a peace officer after police were called to the Walmart at 200 S. Bolingbrook Dr. at 5:28 p.m.

2. Stolen underwear

Police were called to the Victoria’s Secret at 641 E. Boughton Rd. for the report of a retail theft. Employees told police that two unknown subjects were placing lingerie and clothing in a bag and then fled from the store without paying at 7:50 p.m. Loss valued at $345.

3. Jewelry stolen from home

Several pieces of jewelry valued at $1,800 were taken from a home on the 500 block of Leslie Lane.

4. Stolen bike

A boys gray BMX bike was taken from a garage on the 300 block of Northridge Drive at 12:50 p.m.

5. Another stolen bike

A boys 20-inch Razor bicycle was taken from a garage on the 300 block of Knight Court between 7 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.

6. Copper pipes cut from vacant home

Police were called to Starwood Court for the report of a residential burglary. Copper pipes were cut from a vacant home sometimes between May 1 and July 26.

7. Stereo faceplate removed

The faceplate to a car stereo was removed on the 400 block of Yorkshire Square between July 25 and July 26.

8. Stolen iPod

An iPod and charger were taken from a car parked on the 700 block of East Boughton Road between 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

9. Mink coat snatched

A mink coat valued at $6,000 was taken from a home on the 300 block of Osage Drive between July 24 and July 26.

10. Disobeying a stop sign

Carlos Lopez, 22, of the 4800 block of South Klein Avenue in Chicago, was charged with disoberying a stop sign, improper lane usage and speeding following a traffic stop at the intersection of Schmidt Road and Crossroads Drive at 5:54 p.m.

11. Improper use of registration

Shavon Roberts, 22, of the 700 block of Feather Sound Drive, was charged with speeding and improper use of registration following a traffic stop on the 600 block of North Pinecrest Drive at 3:56 p.m.
