Police Blotter: Five Homes Broken Into in One Day

Bolingbrook police reports, July 24-25.

Monday, July 25

1. Naperville man arrested after stealing liquor bottles

David Russon, 21, of the 1200 block of Windermere Avenue in Naperville, was charged with retail theft and resisting a peace officer following a call to the Meijer at 225 N. Weber Rd. at 8:15 p.m. for the report of a subjects leaving the store without paying for two bottles of liquor.

2. iPod, money stolen from car

An iPod, car seat and money were taken from a car parked on the 300 block of West Briarcliff Road between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Loss valued at $700.

3. Macy’s thieves stop, drop and roll out

Police were called to Macy’s for the report of a retail theft. Subjects were seen taking numerous items of clothing and when questioned by store security, dropped someo f the items and fled from the store to a waiting car at 6:37 p.m.

4. Graffiti

Graffiti was spraypainted on a shed on the 500 block of Weber Road.

5. Car windows broken on Lindsey Lane

Three windows were broken on three separate cars parked on the 200 block of Lindsey Lane. Purses, credit cards, a cell phone and money were taken between 2:10 p.m. and 3:20 p.m.

 6. Purse taken from car

A purse was taken from a car parked on the 300 block of South Schmidt Road between 12:55 p.m. and 1:05 p.m. The car was left unlocked and the windows were open, police said.

Sunday, July 24

7. Spare tire stolen

A spare tire was removed from a car parked on the 300 block of Tiger Court between 1 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

8. Apple products stolen in home invasion

Police responded to the 600 block of Briarcliff Road for the report of a residential burglary. Police say an unknown subject entered the home between 12 a.m. and 3 a.m. and took an iPad and iPod. Loss valued at $750.

9. Kitchen screen cut to rob home

Police were called to the 800 block of Hartford Drive for the report of a residential burglary. Police said homeowners discovered a kitchen screen had been cut and a rear sliding door open before the burglars took a video camera, a Wii game system and money. Loss valued at $2,000.

10. More home burglary

Police say several pieces of jewelry, a cell phone, a wallet with credit cards and a camera were taken from a home on the 100 block of Clifton Lane sometime between July 23 and July 24. Loss valued at $5,900.

11. Cell phone, electronics stolen in home burglary

Police responded ot the 200 block of Clifton Lane for the report of a residential burglary. Two cell phones, an iPad and an iPod were taken after a rear screen was found to be cut to gain entry between 4 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Loss valued at $2,700.

12. TV stolen from home

A flat panel TV was taken from a home on the 200 block of Eagle Court between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Loss valued at $389.
