Police Blotter: Theft, Drug Possession, Home Burglary, Fights and More

Bolingbrook police reports, Sept. 24-25.

Sunday, Sept. 25

1. Stolen computer

A laptop was taken from a car parked on the 300 block of Springmist Court between noon and 2 p.m.

2. Possession of cannabis

Damiane Murray, 20, of the 900 block of Emerson Avenue in Des Plaines, was charged with fleeing police officers, possession of cannabis and resisting a peace officer following a traffic stop on the 200 block of Hywood Lane at 7:26 a.m.

3. Assault

Irving Jones, 63, of the 500 block of Preston Drive, was charged with assault, disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer following a call to the 400 block of North Bolingbrook Drive for a fight at 4:13 p.m.

4. Car burglary

A Nintendo DSI and a box of checks were taken from an unlocked car parked on the 200 block of Recreation Drive between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

5. DUI

Don Bermudez, 35, of the 100 block of Larchmont Way, was charged with DUI following a traffic stop at the intersection of Boughton Road and Schmidt Road at 3:32 a.m.

6. DUI/Drugs

Nicholas Firestone, 19, of the 200 block of Douglas Way, was charged with DUI/drugs following a traffic stop at the intersection of Boughton Road and Preston Drive at midnight.

7. Window shattered

The window to a business on the 500 block of West Crossroads Parkway was shattered, setting off the alarm at 11:20 p.m.

8. Car burglary

Police were called to the 300 block of Wildflower Way for the report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. A purse and set of keys were taken from an unlocked car between 1 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.

Saturday, Sept. 24

9. Warrant

Jeremy Hill, 24, of the 1600 block of Marquette Road in Joliet, was charged with an in-state warrant following a traffic stop at the intersection of Boughton Road and Aspen Drive at 1:01 p.m.

10. Residential burglary

Police were called to the 200 block of Periwinkle Lane for the report of a residential burglary. Several tools, a tool chest and a coffee maker were taken between Sept. 1 and Sept. 24.

11. Stolen trailer

A 2003 Hyundai trailer was taken from a business on the 100 block of East South Frontage Road between Sept. 23 and Sept. 24.

12. Theft

Police were called to the 500 block of Remington Boulevard for the report of a theft. Approximately 300 feet of copper wire was taken from a spool between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Loss valued at $700.

13. Aggravated battery

Police were called to the 100 block of Beaconridge Drive for the report of an aggravated battery. The victim was allegedly punched numerous times while walking home at 8:30 p.m. The victim was treated at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital.

14. Battery

Police responded to the 100 block of Edgehill Drive for the report of a battery. A victim told police that they were walking when they were attacked by three unknown subjects.

15. Fight

Police responded to the 300 block of Thistle Drive for the report of a fight in progress. A victim said while at a party, they were in a verbal argument with another party goer when the argument turned physical. Victims were transported to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital at 2:57 a.m.

16. Graffiti

The trunk of a car parked on Lot G of Fernwood Drive was scratched with graffiti between Sept. 21 and Sept. 24.

17. DUI

Daniel Villanueva, 23, of the 500 block of Preston Drive, was charged with no valid driver’s license, no insurance, DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and aggravated DUI following a traffic stop at the intersection of Boughton Road and Lyons Drive at 2:17 a.m.
