Police Blotter: Victim Punched in the Head While Walking Home
Bolingbrook police reports, Sept. 26-28.
Wednesday, Sept. 28
1. Leaving the scene of an accident
Ricky Niojo, 18, of the 700 block of Westwind Drive, was charged with failure to transfer title, no valid registration, improper use of registration, leaving the scene of an accident and no insurance following a traffic stop at the intersection of Route 53 and Edgehill Drive at 4:58 p.m.

2. Warrant
Sovann Pich, 40, of the 1200 block of Oriole Trail in Carol Stream, was charged with an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop on the 200 block of Recreation Drive at 4:25 p.m.

3. Warrant
Zannie Marcshall, 65, of the 300 block of North Ashbury Avenue, was charged with an outstanding warrant at 12:02 p.m.
4. Theft
Police were called to the 300 block of West Crossroads Parkway for the report of a theft. Approximately 600 feet of copper wire, valued at $5,000, was taken between Sept. 27 and Sept. 28.
5. Retail theft
Maciej Tlka, 32, of the 16000 block of West 144th Place in Lockport, was charged with retail theft at Meijer, located at 755 E. Boughton Rd., at 7:19 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 27
6. Burglary and resisting a peace officer
Crecensio Rodriguez, 56, of the 2400 block of South St. Louis Street in Chicago, was charged with burglary and resisting a peace officer following a call to a business on the 500 block of West Crossroads Parkway at 1:31 a.m. The initial call to the business was for an alarm and officers found two subjects in the warehouse loading products into a stolen vehicle.
Monday, Sept. 26
7. Residential burglary
Police responded to Bosi Court for the report of a residential burglary. A homeowner told police they returned home to find a screen cut and the rear sliding door open. A 60-inch TV, Wii game system and four games were taken between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Loss valued at $2,900.
8. Aggravated battery
Police were called to the 100 block of Commonwealth Drive for the report of an aggravated battery. A victim told police they were punched in the face several times while wailing on the 200 block of Lindsey Lane. The unknown suspect had demanded the victim’s money. The victim was transported to the Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital for their injuries.
9. Fight
Police were called to the 600 block of East Boughton road for the report of a fight. A victim said that they were punched in the head after a verbal altercation at 7:06 p.m.
10. Stolen truck
A 2009 white Mitsubishi truck was taken from a business dock on the 500 block of West Crossroads Parkway between Sept. 26 and Sept. 27.
