Police Investigating Armed Robbery in Home Depot Parking Lot
A 62-year-old man was held up for $60 at the Bolingbrook Home Depot Monday morning.

A 62-year-old man leaving the Home Depot Monday morning was allegedly robbed at gunpoint, police officials say.
The man was entering his car near the nursery portion of the store at 10:35 a.m. when the offender blocked his car in, got out and pointed a black semi-automatic .45 handgun at the man while demanding money.
The offender is being described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s, 5-foot-8, skinny with dark short hair and wearing a white T-shirt and plaid pants. Police also say he was driving a gray or silver 2007 to 2009 Chevy Impala or Malibu.

Bolingbrook Lieutenant Mike Rompa said the victim gave the offender $60 before the he took off in his car. The victim was allowed to keep $5, Rompa said.
After robbing the man, the offender got into his car with a white female—described only as having blond hair—and drove towards Weber Road.

No injuries were reported. The incident remains under investigation.
