Raider Football Star Morrison Invited to Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl

While Lady Raider basketball standouts Ariel Massengale and Morgan Tuck , another Bolingbrook grad is now being honored for his talent on the gridiron.

Antonio Morrison, one of the in the country, has been selected to participate in the inaugural Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl, which will take place in Phoneix on Jan. 3 and be broadcast on the CBS Sports Network.

Morrison, who will be a senior at  helped the Raiders to a 5-4 record last season, was one of five Midwestern players to commit to the game.

According to a release, the East versus West matchup, presented in partnership with the United States Marine Corps, will feature 100 of the nation’s most highly recruited high school football players.

Morrison has been busy this offseason, collecting scholarship offers from big-name college football programs such as Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Oregon and Tennessee among others.

Invitations to both the Semper Fidelis Bowl and the Proving Ground Football Combine will be issued throughout the summer and fall on a rolling basis until each roster is filled, the release said.

“I’ve been watching and evaluating high school athletes for decades now, and the Semper Fidelis Bowl combines the best on the field and off the field talent,” said Tom Lemming, renowned recruiting analyst for CBS Sports Network and chair of the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl Selection Committee. “The talent we’re proud to announce committing to the Semper Fidelis Bowl is simply astounding. Athletic prowess paired with the Marines’ core values of honor, courage and commitment makes all of these young men top-notch players to watch.”
