Another Illinois Red Lobster Location Closes
The Board amended its Village Code on Tuesday to decrease the number of liquor licenses, due to the closing of Red Lobster.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The Bolingbrook Red Lobster location at 209 S. Weber Road, has closed, the Village of Bolingbrook confirmed at its Tuesday's meeting.

The Red Lobster website still lists the Bolingbrook location, but the hours of operation lists that the restaurant is closed every day. Patch reached out to Red Lobster, but received no response.

Red Lobster operates several locations in Illinois, including in Downers Grove, Oak Lawn, Orland Park and Joliet.
After filing for bankruptcy, the chain closed two Illinois locations in mid-2024, then announced it would close three more — Bourbonnais, Geneva and Peoria — in August 2024. The chain said it filed for bankruptcy to recoup losses in part blamed on its "Ultimate Endless Shrimp" promotion.
