Slain Man Identified Through Fingerprints

The man was gunned down on Cypress Drive Saturday evening.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A young man shot to death Saturday evening on Cypress Drive has been identified.

Juantrelle Quarles, 21, was part of a group that had gathered at a Bolingbrook residence following a funeral in Summit when he was gunned down shortly after 7 p.m., police said.

Another person was severely wounded in the gun attack. The Bolingbrook police said the wounded man was in critical condition Saturday night. A source said he had been taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

Quarles, a Bolingbrook resident, suffered multiple gunshot wounds, according to Will County Coroner Patrick O’Neil’s office.
