Traffic Lights Working Again At Route 53, I-55 In Bolingbrook

BOLINGBROOK, IL — UPDATE: As of 4 p.m. Thursday, traffic lights at Route 53 and Interstate 55 are working again.

Original story: The traffic lights at Route 53 on the south side of the Interstate 55 bridge are inoperable in all four directions, according to a traffic alert from the Village of Bolingbrook.

The Village said the public works department is attempting to resolve the issue. As of Thursday at 11:30 a.m., there is no estimated time for a resolution.

If you are traveling in the area, you can expect traffic delays and should consider alternate routes.
