Valley View Announces Registration Dates for Upcoming School Year

Editor's Note: The following is a release by the Valley View School District.

Registration for all students for the 2011-12 school year in Valley View School District 365U will take place between Aug. 8 and Aug. 16 with dates varying by school.

The district will require all students, regardless of grade level, to provide  proof that they are residents of the district before they will be allowed to register for classes.

The verification process is simple if a student’s address or guardianship has not changed from the past school year. A parent or guardian must bring to registration their own photo ID and one of the following documents:

• A signed lease for the current school year with the name of the parent or guardian, a landlord’s signature and a contact phone number
• A current (the most recent) tax bill or mortgage statement
• A utility bill from the past 31 days with the name of the parent or guardian on it or mail of a business nature (no more than 30 days old) that was sent to the parent or guardian at the home address

The first day of school for students in 1st through 12^th grades is Aug. 23. Kindergarten and Early Childhood classes begin Aug. 24.
