Valley View Schools Remain Open After Threats Against Joliet Districts
VVSD said it continues to monitor the situation, and there is no reason to believe these are credible threats.
WILL COUNTY, IL — After threats were posted online against Joliet school districts, Valley View School District said both the Bolingbrook Police Department and Romeoville Police Department are investigating the online threats as well.
The District said all Valley View schools are open on Monday, with normal safety precautions and procedures in place.
Troy School District and Joliet Grade School District 86 schools moved to e-learning in the wake of the threats, and Joliet West and Joliet Central high schools searched all students as they entered the buildings on Monday.

Joliet Police said detectives have identified the origin of the social media threat, and have found no credibility to the threat.
"We are continuing to monitor this situation closely and there is no reason to believe these are credible threats as investigation indicates these threats originated in California," Valley View School District said in a release.
