VVSD Board Completes First Round Of Interviews For Next Superintendent

The VVSD Board is on target to bring a decision and contract for approval before the end of 2025.

WILL COUNTY, IL — The Valley View School District Board of Education has completed the first round of interviews in its process for finding its next superintendent, according to a news release from the District.

Valley View School District's current Superintendent Keith Wood is retiring on June 30, 2026, after 15 years of service to the VVSD community, first as Principal of Brooks Middle School, and then as Superintendent of Schools.

The VVSD Board initially announced the opening of the search process for the next superintendent on July 15. At that time, the District said the Board invited the VVSD community to participate in a community survey to express their hopes and desires regarding the next superintendent. The survey results were part of the information used in the next step of the process, which was candidate screening, and then selection of candidates for the first round of interviews.
