- Accomplishment: Started thinking about college in 4th grade.
- Key to Awesomeness: Many students don't begin thinking of college until the last possible moment. In fact, some kids really don't give college much thought at all. But not at Tibbott Elementary, where thinking of college is the norm. School officials last month began college week, which included a Career Day, an opportunity to eat lunch in the college dorm room Tibbott has created, a presentation by State of Illinois officials on “Saving for College," and even an actual college fair. “Many of our children have never been on a college campus,” Wilson said. “It’s not feasible to bring all 683 to a college, so we’re bringing college to them so they have an idea of what it’s like to live on campus.” Abigaile Phanor and Jordan Delli, this week's Whiz Kids, had their heads in the right places as they relaxed in a “dorm room” created at Tibbott Elementary School to give students and idea of what it’s like to live on a college campus.
