2 Buffalo Grove Restaurants Receive Small Business Relief Grants

The grants are part of the state's Back to Business program to assist restaurants and hotels that suffered the most during the pandemic.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The pandemic was especially difficult for restaurants and hotels, with many closing their doors permanently because of the decline in business. In Illinois, a Back to Business grant program was set up to help businesses recover.

The B2B program has provided more than $535 million to more than 15,000 businesses since the start of the pandemic, according to the Illinois Department of Commerce.

"Local restaurants are often the pillars of the community," State Senator Adriane Johnson (D-Buffalo Grove) said. "Programs like the Back to Business grants allow these businesses to maintain their place within the community."
