North Suburban YMCA Hosting 2nd Annual KidPalooza Event on February 1
A Fun-Filled, Family-Friendly Day of Activities, Games, Exploration and Community Engagement

Northbrook, IL – The North Suburban YMCA is excited to announce its 2nd Annual KidPalooza, formerly known as the Youth Explorer Expo. This family-friendly celebration invites the community to come together for an afternoon of fun, adventure, and discovery. The event will take place on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 12:00–2:00 PM at the North Suburban YMCA, located at 2705 Techny Road, Northbrook. Admission is free and open to all ages.
KidPalooza is the perfect opportunity for families to get out of the house this winter and enjoy activities designed especially for young children. In addition, guests are encouraged to bring their swimsuits and take part in Family Swim during the event from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.
“KidPalooza is really just a fun winter day at the Y for families,” said Ricky Gonzalez, Senior Director of Camp and Youth Programs at the North Suburban YMCA. “It’s a big indoor play day where families can pop in, explore different activities, and enjoy some easy weekend fun with their young kids.”

Event Highlights Include:
- Family Fun Zones: Bounce house obstacle course, face painting, arts and crafts, cookie decorating, games, music, dance, family swim, photo booth, and more.
- Community Resources: Learn about youth programs, healthcare partners, and other organizations supporting local families.
KidPalooza is a winter wonderland of family fun, offering something magical for everyone—from little ones to grown-ups. Whether you’re looking to explore new Y programs or simply enjoy a cozy, joy-filled afternoon of play and connection, KidPalooza is the perfect way to warm up the season and kick off the new year with excitement and community spirit.
