Buffalo Grove, Stevenson Wrestlers to Compete at Lake Zurich Saturday

The Buffalo Grove and Stevenson High School wrestling squads will compete in a very important meet at Lake Zurich on Saturday, Feb. 2. The top three individuals will advance into sectionals at Barrington next weekend, and the team champion will head to the dual-team sectional, the Daily Herald reports. The high schools will face off against Barrington, Cary-Grove, Deerfield, Highland Park, Lake Forest, Lake Zurich and Palatine. 

The Daily Herald reports Brian Egan and Christian Durant are two Buffalo Grove wrestlers to watch. 

The state individual tournament will be held Feb. 14-16 in Champaign, while the dual-team state tournament is scheduled for Feb. 23 in Bloomington. 

The Feb. 2 meet starts at 9 a.m.
