3 Incumbents Projected To Retain Buffalo Grove Village Board Seats
Three seats on the Buffalo Grove Village Board were up for grabs in Tuesday's consolidated election.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL ā Four candidates were vying for three seats on the Buffalo Grove Village Board in Tuesday's local election. Though results are unofficial, it appears current trustees Joanne Johnson, Lester Ottenheimer and Denice Bocek retained their seats.
Kevin Richards, who is vice chair of the village's planning and zoning commission, ran unopposed for a two-year seat on the board. In 2023, former Trustee Gregory Pike resigned from the board as he moved, and Bocek is finishing out the first two years of the term.
According to Lake County, a total of 2,614 votes were cast. Here are the unofficial results:

- Joanne Johnson: 744 (28.46 percent)
- Lester Ottenheimer: 716 votes (27.39 percent)
- Denice Bocek: 697 votes (26.66 percent)
- Paulette Greenberg: 457 votes (17.48 percent)
Johnson, who is retired, worked in marketing communications for nonprofits in various capacities. She has been on the Village Board since 2015.
Ottenheimer has been a practicing attorney for more than 40 years and is a managing member of Ottenheimer Law Group, LLC. He has been on the Village Board since 2011.

Bocek has more than 30 years of work experience in commercial real estate development and construction. She has been a member of the Village Board since 2023.
