Local Students Graduate From The University Of Texas At Austin

The University of Texas at Austin proudly celebrates the accomplishments of more than 9,000 spring 2025 graduates. These undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students have earned their degrees across UT's 17 current degree-granting colleges and schools. UT Austin celebrated its 142nd graduating class during Commencement ceremonies on May 10. Taylor Sheridan, the creative force behind television blockbusters such as "Yellowstone" and "Landman," was the featured Commencement speaker. Students graduating from Buffalo Grove include:

• Danielle Schwartz graduated with a Bachelor Of Science In Nutrition.
• Vivien Liu graduated with a Doctor Of Jurisprudence.
• Varsha Manju Jayakumar graduated with a Master Of Science In Business Analytics.

Wojciechowski Named To Dean's List at Olivet Nazarene University

Isabella Wojciechowski, of Buffalo Grove, was named to the dean's list at Olivet Nazarene University during the recently completed spring 2025 semester. To qualify for inclusion on the dean's list, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.

Nebraska Awards 3,681 Degrees In May Ceremonies

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln conferred 3,681 degrees during commencement exercises May 3, 16 and 17. The 3,591 graduates are from 57 countries, 46 U.S. states and 250-plus Nebraska communities. A ceremony for College of Law graduates took place May 3 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts; a ceremony for students earning graduate and professional degrees occurred May 16 at Pinnacle Bank Arena; and two ceremonies for undergraduates were May 17 at the arena. Chancellor Rodney D. Bennett presided over the ceremonies. Graduates from Buffalo Grove include:

• Christopher Viktor-Matthae Lermer, College of Arts and Sciences, Bachelor of Science.
• Alexander Noah Swidler, College of Business, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
• Benjamin Samuel Swidler, College of Business, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
