Woman Found Dead Near Town Square, Man In Custody: Schaumburg PD
There was a large police presence in the area Tuesday morning for an active investigation.
SCHAUMBURG, IL — A woman was found dead Tuesday morning and a man has been taken into custody in what police are calling a "domestic-related" incident. Police believe it was an isolated incident with no threat to the public.
NBC Chicago is reporting the body was found near the town square center, with restaurants, businesses, a library, and a park nearby.
Schaumburg police responded to the 100 block of south Roselle Road at around 5:25 a.m. for an unknown disturbance. They found the woman dead, and took the man into custody for an investigation. The two involved know each other, according to police.

Police are asking residents to find alternate routes as there is a large police presence in the area.
