Evidence Found Of Shots Fired At Buffalo Grove Bowling Alley: Police

A published report indicated police found more than three dozen spent shell casings around the Bowlero bowling alley but found no victims.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Buffalo Grove Police are continuing to investigate a report of multiple shots fired, and police said there was no evidence anyone was hit by gunfire.

Police were called to Bowlero in the area of McHenry Road and Townplace Parkway around 10:30 p.m. Friday after police received reports of shots being fired, police said on Monday. Police said that they found evidence that shots had been fired, but discovered no victims.

Citing village sources, The Daily Herald reported that 36 spent shell casings were discovered in three areas of the bowling area parking lot, and also found a car with bullet holes. A department spokesman told Patch on Monday that he was unable to confirm the number of spent shell casings found or other property damage due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.

The newspaper reported that two more shell casings were found in another area around the bowling alley, but that there have been no reports of anyone being shot or injured in the incident.

He said that the police will provide more information as they are able.
