'Full Of Life, Passion, And Dreams': Fundraiser Supports Family Of Motorcyclist Killed In Buffalo Grove

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The family of a Schaumburg man killed last week when his motorcycle collided with a sedan in Buffalo Grove continues to grieve his loss. A fundraiser has been set up to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Rane Pyter, 24, died after crashing his motorcycle Thursday on northbound Arlington Heights Road at Plum Grove Circle at around 5:30 p.m. according to Buffalo Grove police. The Buffalo Grove Fire Department took Pyter to Endeavor Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the driver of the sedan was evaluated at the scene and released, and is cooperating with the investigation. No citations or charges have been issued at this time.

A GoFundMe campaign is being organized by Irakli Rekhviashvili in memory of Pyter, described as "full of life, passion, and dreams." As of Monday morning, it has raised over $12,000 of a $30,000 goal.

"Rane was a young man with a big heart and even bigger ambitions and dreams," the campaign reads. "He loved working on classic cars, flying planes, and living life to the fullest. He was not only a talented pilot and mechanic, but also a kind soul who touched everyone he met."

Visitation is being held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services LTD, 330 West Golf Road, Schaumburg, according to the funeral home. A funeral is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the location, with a graveside service planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, 1185 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine.

"Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and is deeply appreciate," the campaign concludes. "Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers."
