Memorial Day 2024: Find Out When Service Starts In Buffalo Grove

Memorial Day is Monday, May 27, this year, with many local municipalities planning parades and observances.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — In an effort to honor the memory of the brave American men and women who have lost their lives in service to their country, a service will be held on Monday, May 27.

The service begins at 11 a.m. at Knopf Cemetery, 20685 Arlington Heights Road. There will be special readings, music, and a time of remembering those who lost their lives in service to the nation.

The keynote speaker will be Lieutenant Matthew Page, staff chaplain, recruit training command, Great Lakes Naval Base. The Buffalo Grove Police Department will direct and assist with parking.
