Police Blotter: Resident Falls Asleep with TV on, Noise Disturbs Neighbor

ALCOHOL
John R. Eggert, 24, of the 700 block of Mayfair Court, Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit and illegal lane use at 4:23 a.m. March 8 on Buffalo Grove Road at Golfview.
Michael A. Shlagman, 22, of the 400 block of Harrison, Vernon Hills, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit, two lighting violations and driving without insurance at 11:37 p.m. March 10 on Arlington Heights Road near Heritage.

BURGLARY
A citizen reported someone broke their front passenger side window and took an iPad at 8 p.m. March 8 on the 100 block of North Arlington Heights Road.

FOUND PROPERTY
A citizen reported finding a wallet at 1:57 p.m. March 9 on the 600 block of Golfview. Officers contacted the owner and will ensure that the wallet is returned.
LOCK-OUT ASSISTANCE
A complainant reported locking their ignition keys inside their vehicle at 10:36 p.m. March 10 on the 1500 block of Abbott Court. Officers assisted in opening the door.
NOISE COMPLAINT
A complainant on the 1-100 block of Oak Creek Drive reported loud music or a TV coming from a nearby unit at 11:40 p.m. March 10. Officers made contacted the resident, who had fallen asleep with the TV on.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
A complainant reported damage to a tire while driving at 8:30 p.m. March 8 on Buffalo Grove Road at Lake-Cook Road. The driver thought the damage was caused by a pothole in the road. The roadway was checked and no significant potholes were located in that particular area.
