Police Release ‘Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over’ Enforcement Results

Three impaired drivers were arrested by Buffalo Grove Police as a result of the yearly campaign enforcement.

From Buffalo Grove Police: As part of the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign, the Buffalo Grove Police Department was out this holiday season working to save lives by keeping drunk drivers off of Village roads.

Between December 16, 2016 and January 1, 2017, the Buffalo Grove Police arrested three drivers who had blood alcohol concentrations (BACs) over the legal limit of 0.08. In addition, 41 drivers and passengers received citations for not wearing seat belts.

“In an effort to bring the number of fatalities on our roadways down to zero, we warned partygoers not to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or they would face the consequences— and we kept our word,” said Sergeant Anthony Goldstein. “These offenders now realize their actions have serious and potentially fatal consequences, and we hope they will not put themselves or others at risk by driving impaired again.
