This holiday season, Wheeling Township continues its proud tradition of supporting Operation Support Our Troops – America (OSOT), a nonprofit organization dedicated to sending Comfort & Care Packages to active-duty military members across the globe.

Throughout November, the Township will collect donated items and monetary contributions to help fill and ship these packages, each one a heartfelt reminder to service members that their sacrifices are valued and acknowledged.

“Each year, our residents demonstrate extraordinary generosity by supporting those who serve our country,” said Wheeling Township Supervisor Maria Zeller Brauer. “Through Operation Support Our Troops, we let our military members know that their sacrifice matters and that they have a community standing behind them.”

The Township is collecting food, self-care items, and monetary donations to cover the $25 shipping cost for each Comfort & Care Package. Items requested include granola bars or protein bars, gum or mints, white or black athletic socks, lip balm, cough drops, individually wrapped crackers or cookies, $10–$25 Amazon gift cards, and UNO or other small card games.
