proudly announces that the Ronald L. McDaniel Foundation has made a $1 million donation pledge to be received over a five-year period beginning in 2013. The financial stability that this generous gift provides will allow the Museum to expand the delivery and accessibility of its math-, science- and art-focused exhibits and programs.
“The Ronald L. McDaniel Foundation’s commitment is a testimonial to the Foundation’s belief in both the Museum’s strategic plan and the importance of investing in early learning,” said Sue Broad, DuPage Children's Museum Executive Director. “The generosity of this gift serves as an important cornerstone for the larger financial goals of the Museum’s stability campaign and we hope it will inspire additional support.”
Serving as a force in early learning, for 24 years DuPage Children's Museum has provided young children with hands-on, open-ended experiences in the arts, science and math while fostering the child-adult learning partnership.

In 2008, the Foundation pledged $150,000 in support of the Museum’s Kindergarten Math Initiative program, a grant-funded program with the objective of making foundational math-focused learning labs accessible to all kindergarten children in DuPage County. After further witnessing the Museum’s impact, Ron McDaniel, head of the Foundation, has continued his personal financial support of the Museum and was elected to the Museum’s Board of Directors in September 2010.
“Investing in young children provides great returns for their future and for the future of our communities,” McDaniel said. “I respect and value all the Museum does for kids and I am pleased to make this contribution to their future.”
