Anne M. Jeans Fourth Grader Chosen as Student State Ambassador
Congratulations to Angelique Livingston!

fourth grader Angelique Livingston has been selected to serve as a Fuel Up to Play 60 State Representative for the 2012-2013 school year. The program encourages students to come up with ways to help their fellow students get healthy and stay active.
"It's about combining fitness and nutrition and developing lifelong habits," said Anne M. Jeans Principal Debbie LeBlanc.
Only 30 students from the across the country are selected for this program.

"We were jumping for joy when she was chosen," said LeBlanc.
As State Representative, Angelique will be working both at AMJES and across the state to encourage students to become involved with the program, which promotes healthy eating and activities in schools and communities.

Angelique will be meeting the National Student Ambassadors and other students from across the country when she attends the Fuel Up to Play 60 Student Ambassador Summit in Washington DC July 11-14.
Anne M. Jeans students participated in the Fuel Up to Play 60 activities this January. The district said Angelique’s spirited efforts earned her a nomination to this position.
"Angelique’s fellow students and teachers are proud of her accomplishment and look forward to working with her in the coming school year with a focus on eating healthy, getting active and making a difference," said in a media announcement about the honor.
"I have known [Angelique] since she was a little, teeny, tiny girl, and I've watched her mature. She is someone I know is going to go far," said LeBlanc. "She is really going to make a difference in this world."
