Board Lets Burr Ridge Company Off for Nearly $10K Fine

The Burr Ridge Village Board voted unanimously Monday, June 24 to waive the $9,250 penalty for a recently annexed local business that failed to erect a fence in a specified time frame, the Doings Burr Ridge reports.

According to the paper, under an annexation agreement, Compass Truck Sales at 15W580 North Frontage Road was supposed to finish building a fencing wall and associated landscaping along 75th Street before May 15, but did not finish until June 20, due to delays with permits and getting the necessary materials for construction.

“The business did all that was required of them, but the delay were caused by things they had no control over,” the paper quoted Burr Ridge Community Development Director Doug Pollock saying.
