Burglars Target Cars Parked Near Hinsdale South At Night
Two recent car burglaries at Hinsdale South are being investigated by Darien Police.

Sometime between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on July 5, someone broke into a car that was parked in the Hinsdale South High School parking lot. The driver came back to find the drivers side window shattered. The burglar had stolen a purse which had cash and credit cards, gift cards, a wallet and a bluetooth earpiece. The estimated value of what was stolen was about $850. The victim told police that more than $1,000 was then charged to the stolen credit cards for purchases made in Willowbrook, Markham and Harvey.
On July 6, sometime between 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m., a car parked on the roadway near Hinsdale South had its drivers side window broken. A purse was containing credit cards, checkbooks, cash, a wallet and a set of keys was stolen. The estimated loss was more than $450.
