BURR RIDGE, IL – Ryan Husarik, a Burr Ridge officer who was arrested on a drunken-driving charge last year, is retiring at the end of the month.

A few months after his DUI arrest in Virginia, Husarik, then the deputy chief, was demoted to sergeant. He was driving in a squad car in the Washington suburbs when Virginia state police stopped him for repeatedly swerving. He was in Virginia for a 10-week training at the FBI National Academy.

In May, the attorney general's office ordered Burr Ridge to release the video of Husarik's arrest. This was after the village denied requests from Patch and others.
