Burr Ridge Names New Deputy Police Chief
He has worked in the department for 24 years, most recently as a sergeant.

BURR RIDGE, IL – A Burr Ridge police sergeant was promoted Monday to deputy chief.
David Allen was sworn in during Monday's Village Board meeting.
In his 24 years with the police department, Allen has served in various roles, including patrol officer, detective and sergeant, according to a village news release.

Allen holds a bachelor's degree in criminal and social justice from Lewis University and a master's degree in police psychology from Adler School of Professional Psychology. He is also a graduate of the Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command.
As deputy chief, Allen will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the continued safety and security of Burr Ridge, the news release said.

He is taking the place of Marc Loftus, who was promoted to police chief last month upon longtime Chief John Madden's retirement.
