Police entered the home and found no one inside, but did discover that it appeared as though someone had rummaged through the master bedroom.
"A very short time after [we arrived,] the homeowners actually came home, and we learned pretty quickly from them what was missing from the home," said Deputy Chief Tim Vaclav.

During this time, the Indian Head Park Police received a suspicious person call on Indian Woods Drive in their town. Police there responded and located two people in the area in a black 2003 Chevy Trailblazer.
When they tried to stop the SUV, it attempted to flee and backed into a parked car. The driver, described as a black male, approximately 6’ tall got out and ran from the scene.
"[The Indian Head Park Police] called us for assistance, and we set up a perimeter," said Vaclav. "The passenger stayed with the vehicle."
The perimeter was set up in the area of Wolf Rd and 72nd Street Wednesday night, and a helicopter from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office along with several Several K9 units responded to the search, but police were unable to locate him.
Vaclav said a subsequent investigation revealed several items in plain view inside the vehicle.
"The items appeared to match the descriptions of the items taken in our burglary just a short time earlier," said Vaclav.
"We have the vehicle in custody, and we're getting a search warrant to search the vehicle [for more items related to] our burglary or other items that can not be accounted for [from other investigations.]"
"If during that time period [people] saw anything suspicious they should call us," said Vaclav. "[But] we don't have any reason to believe this individual is still in the area."
The passenger in the vehicle has been identified as Claude L. White, 46, of 1741 W. 80th Street in Chicago.
He has been charged with one count of Residential Burglary and transported to the Cook County jail for a bond hearing. The second subject is still at large.
Anyone having any information that could be related to this incident should contact the Burr Ridge Police Department at 630-323-8181.
