D86 Facilities, Pending Litigation on Special Board Agenda

Patch takes a look at local happenings Tuesday in and around Burr Ridge.

A quick look at what's happening in Burr Ridge today:

  • The District 86 Board of Education is holding a special meeting Tuesday night at Hinsdale Central. On the agenda is a a vote on the 2013 summer projects that the board decided to re-bid earlier this spring. The re-bid projects were on the board's last two agendas, but were not acted on. Tuesday's meeting begins at 7 p.m. See the full District 86 board agenda here.
  • Also on the District 86 agenda Tuesday night is a closed session followed by an anticipated actions regarding "pending legislation." The Dianne Barrett lawsuit against District 86 was dismissed by a DuPage County judge in June, but former Board President Dennis Brennan, a defendant in the suit, has publicly stated that the new board has been considering a settlement agreement with Barrett. Current Board President Claudia Manley did not confirm with The Doings whether or not the board was considering a settlement
