Four Burr Ridge Minors Charged With Alcohol Possession, One Adult With Drug Possession

The following arrest information was supplied by the Hinsdale Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor: Scott W. Szawlowski, 20, of 223 Elm Court in Burr Ridge was charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor at approximately 2:29 a.m. on June 2. Someone called the police to report a man passed out in the area of 57th Street and Garfield Avenue in Hinsdale. Hinsdale Police observed that Szawlowski appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. They charged and released him with a court date.

Unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor: Steven J. Stefani, 18, of 109 Tomlin Circle in Burr Ridge was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor at approximately 2:14 a.m. on June 3. Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of North Vine Street to investigate a report of an underaged drinking party. They arrested Stefani, along with Hinsdale residents Davis H. Snedeker, 18, of 724 North Oak Street and MaryAnn E. Hardek, 18, of 6110 S. Garfield Street. All three were observed to be under the influence of alcohol, were arrested, charged and ticketed.

Possession of Cannabis: Richard C. Schmieder, 22, of 2 Old Mill Lane in Burr Ridge was observed not wearing his seatbelt. After police pulled him over near the intersection of 55th and Garfield Streets in Hinsdale, they found an open beer can in the car, along with a substance that field tested positive for cannabis and a glass pipe commonly used to smoke pot. He was arrested and charged with not wearing a seat belt, possession of Cannabis, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Illegal Transporation of Open Alcohol. He was charged and released on bond to appear in court.
