Temps in the 80s and a gentle breeze on Memorial Day have people in Burr Ridge spending a few hours by the pool and taking time out for a little retail therapy. The strong sun seems to have people forgoing sidewalk sales in favor of the air-conditioning in the gyms and inside the stores at the Village Center.

If you're thinking about taking a dip yourself and don't like crowds, you might want to consider an indoor pool, because it looks like a lot of folks in Burr Ridge are taking advantage of the sunshine today. The parking lot at Lifetime Fitness is packed, and a sales advisor at the gym says people have been streaming in all day.

"It's absolute mayhem," said Bill Mogk, Lifetime Fitness sales advisor. "[People started coming in to swim] at 9 a.m."

However you spend your day, enjoy the sun while it lasts. The National Weather Service is predicting storms on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday next week.
