Suspicious People In Burr Ridge Neighborhood: Cops

Police give their theory about why the suspects were there.

BURR RIDGE, IL – Suspicious people walking in a resident's driveway were reported early Tuesday morning in a Burr Ridge neighborhood, local police said.

Police believe the people were looking to commit thefts from unlocked cars at the house, which was near 87th Street and County Line Road.

The people were scared off by a motion-activated light on the home's exterior, police said.

Officers said they identified the suspects' car, but the driver sped away and was last seen entering Interstate 55.

The police department reminded residents to keep their cars locked and their outdoor lights on to help prevent theft.

Anyone who sees suspicious activity is asked to call 911.
