From the BRPD Blotter: Squirrel Made Me Do It
Mailboxes are the "victims" in an auto accident involving a squirrel.
A motorist did not want to hit a squirrel that ran into the street on the 8000 block of County Line Road and did what just about any other motorist would do: swerved to avoid it. Apparently the squirrel was spared, but not four mailboxes.
Burr Ridge police did not issue any citations—to the driver or the squirrel—in the incident that occurred shortly before noon July 17.
