Willowbrook Gas Station Held Up At Gunpoint
An employee was found restrained in an office, authorities said.
WILLOWBROOK, IL – A Willowbrook gas station was held up at gunpoint early Sunday morning, with an employee found restrained in an office, police said.
About 6:45 a.m., Willowbrook officers went to Madison Street and Joliet Road in response to a stolen vehicle notification from a license plate reader camera, according to a Willowbrook police news release.
Officers saw the stolen vehicle, a U-Haul truck, at 7-Eleven, 535 Joliet Road, police said. The driver drove off.

Officers lost sight of the truck and returned to 7-Eleven to further investigate. They then discovered a 7-Eleven employee restrained but unharmed in the business office, police said.
The search for the U-Haul continued, but could not be found, the release said.
