Final Reminder: Vote in the Minooka Village Trustee Election April 1st
Written by Josh Stell, all views are his own and not that of the Patch.

Minooka residents, the time has come to make your voice heard! On Tuesday, April 1st, you will have the opportunity to vote for three Village Trustees who will help shape the future of our community. Local elections have a direct impact on our daily lives, and your vote truly matters!
As a candidate for Village Trustee, I am running to bring fresh perspectives and proactive leadership to Minooka. Over the past year, I have been actively involved in attending village meetings, advocating for responsible development, supporting local businesses, and pushing for infrastructure improvements that benefit all residents—not just large corporations.
Why Vote for Me?
- A Voice for Younger Families & Future Generations – I want represent the younger families and professionals who are building their futures here. I am committed to preserving Minooka’s charm while ensuring it remains a great place to live for years to come. Its my goal to bridge generations amongst both our younger and older residents.
- Balanced Growth & Infrastructure – I have consistently voiced concerns about excessive semi-truck traffic and have pushed for stricter enforcement to protect our neighborhoods from becoming burdened with logistics traffic.
- Lowering Taxes & Supporting Residents – I was the only new candidate to speak at the board meeting advocating for a lower tax rate. I am the only candidate who has been in communications with an internet service provider to bring fiber-optic internet to our community, to give residents real options, future-proof speeds, and to help them save money.
- Transparency & Community Engagement – I have made it a priority to keep residents informed and engaged. Whether through social media, community events, my website or articles like this, I believe in open communication and accountability.
Your Vote Counts
Each voter can select up to three candidates for Village Trustee, and I hope to earn one of your votes. Minooka is at a pivotal point in its growth, and we need leadership that listens, represents all generations, and takes action to ensure a bright future for our village.
