Judge Frees Tattoo Face Kiddie Porn Guy's Snitch Brother

A prosecutor had asked the judge to give the man six years in prison.

A Will County judge sentenced Tattoo Face Kiddie Porn Guy’s brother to three years of probation despite a prosecutor urging her to lock him up for six years.

In exchange for the guilty plea that cleared the way for him to leave the county jail, 30-year-old Levi Castro has agreed to testify against his tattoo-faced brother, Andrew Castro, 27, said Assistant State’s Attorney John Connor. When Levi Castro took the deal, he was offered a prison sentence of up to six years. He won’t have to do any years. He will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Connor pushed for the prison sentence because the Castros allegedly confided to the cops that they batted around the idea of abducting a young girl but were arrested before actually doing anything about it. An investigator with the Will County State’s Attorney’s High Technology Crimes Unit testified about the scheme during the Castros’ bond hearing last year, an official said.

The investigator told how the Castro brothers “discussed possibly kidnapping a child, a baby, sexually assaulting the baby and then killing, or disposing of the baby, and if the mother of the child got in the way, killing the mother,” the official said.

Jones discounted that and told Connor she wanted “actual facts, not supposition, not theory.”

Before handing down her sentence, Jones reiterated through a series of rhetorical questions that the Castros did not actually kidnap anyone.

“No steps were taken?” she said to Connor. “They were sitting around talking to each other? Not to be flippant, but that’s what happened?”

Connor pointed out that the Castros for some reason had a child safety seat in their car when they were arrested in December.

Even with his brother set to testify against him, Andrew Castro may never answer for the child pornography charges brought by prosecutors. His sanity at the time of the alleged offense was called into question last month and the case was put on hold until his fitness can be determined.
