Minooka Garage Fire Destroys Car
Neither the total damage nor the cause of the fire were available.

The garage fire in the 100 block of St. Mary Street Feb. 23 completely destroyed the garage and the car inside it, Minooka Fire Protection District Chief Al Yancy said in a written release.
Yancy said the garage fire was fully involved when firefighters arrived, but that it was quickly put out. Firefighters rescued two cats at the scene.
No one was home at either of the adjacent homes at the time of the fire. Although a car and garage were destroyed, an estimate for damage was not available. Yancy said both residences next to the fire had exterior damage and one residence has some smoke damage inside.
