Deadly Rollover Wreck On Route 113 In Rural Grundy County
Monday afternoon's deadly wreck happened at 12:35 p.m. along Route 113 in the Coal City area.

COAL CITY, IL — A motorist trying to flee a Grundy County Sheriff's squad car crashed into a ComEd utility truck on Monday afternoon, killing the fleeing motorist, the Grundy County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook.
Grundy County Coroner John Callahan issued a press release revealing that the dead man was James Pheal, a 44-year-old resident of Aurora.
Route 113 in the Coal City area was shut down while the Illinois State Police handled the investigation.

Grundy County said that its deputies tried to make the traffic stop at 12:35 p.m. near Route 47 and Route 113, but the person driving the Dodge Durango would not stop.
The person turned east on Route 113 and tried to pass another car east of Higgins Road; that's when they collided with an oncoming ComEd truck, authorities said.

The Dodge Durango driver was dead at the scene. The ComEd employee was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
"After the collision, the offending vehicle rolled several times, coming to a rest in the south ditch of Route 113," Callahan announced.
