Nominate Minooka's Next Citizen of the Year!
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2025 Citizen of the Year.

For the second year Village President Ric Offerman will present the Citizen of the Year award to a deserving member of the Minooka community. This award recognizes individuals who have consistently demonstrated a commitment to service or made a positive impact in our community.
The Citizen of the Year is selected from nominations submitted by friends, family, and fellow community members. The 2025 Citizen of the Year recipient will be honored with an honorary plaque and recognized during the State of the Village Address on April 3, 2025.
Last year's award recipient Dave Corbin, was truly deserving of the inaugural award. A long time Minooka resident, Dave is a military Veteran and over 50 year member of the American Legion Post 1188. In this role Dave has helped organized one of Minooka's most cherished community events- the Memorial Day Parade. He is also a 30+ year member of the Lions Club, served as a first responder with the Minooka Fire Protection District, and as his nominator put it; "There's probably more we're missing!"
