Opportunity for Will and Grundy County Job Seekers With Disabilities
On October 22nd Will and Grundy County job seekers will have a unique opportunity to connect directly with local employers.

The Will and Grundy County Workforce Services Divisions have partnered to host the second annual Ability Career Fair. This event bridges the gap between local employers looking to hire, with a pool of talent that has been historically underutilized.
This uplifting event will be taking place next week on Tuesday, October 22nd at the Minooka Village Hall. It will run from 1-5PM. There is no cost to attend but job seekers are encouraged to register here.
Last year’s event was a smashing hit with 30 employers and resource providers in attendance, speaking to over 70 job seekers looking for their next opportunity. Andrew Pajak, a Career Planner for the Workforce Services Division of Will County, said, "At the end of the day, these jobseekers are capable of a lot - they’re human beings looking for opportunities, just like you and I." Pajak went on to say, "Too often, employers look at people with disabilities with a stigma, and we see at this event employers looking for people who are a good fit, cause 90% of jobs are trainable"
